On February 12th local time, the management of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant announced through social media that according to the plan, the 27th batch of International Atomic Energy Agency observation teams consisting of four experts should be stationed at the nuclear power plant on the same day to complete personnel rotation. However, due to Ukraine's provocative actions, the personnel rotation operation was forced to be cancelled.
Regarding this, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zakharova stated that Russia will continue to take all measures to resist Ukraine's threat to the nuclear power plant.
According to media reports, the rotation of the International Atomic Energy Agency observation team was originally scheduled for February 5th, but due to safety reasons, it was changed to the 12th. On the noon of the 12th local time, the appointed head of Zaporizhzhia region by the Russian side, Balitsky, stated that the area near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant was attacked by Ukrainian drones, and the location of the attack was less than 300 meters away from the first reactor of the nuclear power plant.
