The seminar on nuclear safety management during the overhaul of nuclear power plants was successfully held in Beijing

The seminar on nuclear safety management for nuclear power plant overhaul was successfully held in Beijing. Recently, the seminar on nuclear safety management for nuclear power plant overhaul was held at the National Nuclear and Radiation Safety Supervision Technology Research and Development Base. Representatives from the Nuclear Safety Supervision Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the North China Nuclear and Radiation Safety Supervision Station, the East China Nuclear and Radiation Safety Supervision Station, the Northeast Nuclear and Radiation Safety Supervision Station, the Southwest Nuclear and Radiation Safety Supervision Station, the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center (hereinafter referred to as the Nuclear Safety Center), China National Nuclear Industry Corporation, China Nuclear Power Corporation, Huaneng Nuclear Power Development Co., Ltd., China General Nuclear Power Corporation, various nuclear power plant operating units, overhaul specialized companies and other relevant units attended.

The Nuclear Safety Center introduced the background and work plan of the establishment of the Nuclear Safety Management Working Group for the overhaul of nuclear power plants. The attending representatives had in-depth discussions on key issues that the overhaul working group needs to pay attention to, including the implementation of nuclear safety responsibilities in intensive overhaul management, personnel qualification management, and refinement of overhaul management plans.

The meeting pointed out that establishing a nuclear power plant overhaul nuclear safety management working group is an effective measure to implement the spirit of the National Nuclear Safety Administration's experience feedback centralized analysis meeting, which helps to gather industry forces and consolidate industry consensus. All member units of the working group should unify their thinking, enhance their understanding of nuclear safety risks during the overhaul period of nuclear power plants, sort out prominent nuclear safety issues in various links during the overhaul period, pay attention to the implementation of relevant nuclear safety responsibilities after the intensive reform of the overhaul work, scientifically formulate the research content and promotion plan of the working group, promote the effective elimination of risk hazards in the industry, improve the quality of the overhaul work, and ensure the safe operation of nuclear power units.
